Teachers, Educators and Student Privacy Policy (Speedy Publishing Online Reader)
Speedy Publishing LLC (“here in listed as Speedy Publishing”) has created this privacy policy document to specifically inform all educators, teachers, students and parents (herein known as users) of our procedures and existing policies with regard to the collection, the use, and disclosure or non-disclosure of personally identifiable information along with non-personal information we receive or collect from users of our platform www.SpeedyPublishing.Com, www.SpeedyPublishing.Online and other Speedy Publishing websites where this policy is posted.
Student Information Collected by Speedy Publishing
Speedy Publishing ONLY uses Student Information and Data for the sole purpose of providing access to the student and other users where they can read all our content for the K-12 market.
Student Information and Data collected refers to “personally identifiable information” of a user or student along with their “education records”.
These Education Records are referred to in the:
- Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) 20 U.S.C. § 1232g
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA) 15 U.S.C. § 6501-6506. - Student Information will not include anonymous information not enabling the identification of a student.
Speedy Publishing adheres to the following policies and procedures as listed below:
- We will not sell student information
- We will not behaviorally target advertising
- We use data for authorized education purposes only
- We will not change privacy policies without notice or choice
- We enforce strict limits on data retention
- We support parental access to, and correction of errors in, their children’s information
- We provide comprehensive security standards
- We are transparent about collection and use of data
Speedy Publishing is COPPA Compliant
Speedy Publishing remains in full compliance of the provisions of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
When creating accounts with Speedy Publishing’s Online Reader Students are NEVER required to enter:
first names
last names
email addresses
ONLY a username and password are required.
Speedy Publishing may collect additional information from administrators and parents.
Speedy Publishing will NEVER require children to disclose more information than is necessary to access the Speedy Publishing Online Reader.
Parents are allowed to review their children’s personal information, request to have it deleted, and limit or deny Speedy Publishing from collecting or using of their children’s information by writing to

Speedy Publishing is FERPA Compliant
Speedy Publishing uses proprietary methods to maintain the security and confidentiality of all student records and complies with ALL requirements of the Family Educational Record Privacy Act (FERPA) with respect to the educational records of students.
We will not use any information provided for any other purpose outside of providing access to the Speedy Publishing Online Reader.
We will not disclose this information to any third party unless required by law.
We will neither use nor sell Student Information for the purposes of marketing to students.
Data Storage
All student Information is stored, encrypted, and served from Speedy Publishing’s contracted data storage provider. Hurix Systems. Hurix provides comprehensive monitoring systems in place using industry best practice tools. No Student Information is data stored outside the US.
School District Sharing of Student Information and Data
Student user accounts can be created by the School District to which that student belongs by administrators or approved educators. A school district administrator may provide a list of student data via a transmissible file such as CSV, XLS, XLSX or PDF.
The information may be shared by automation through LTI, SIP2, LDAP, or SSO; via an FTP tool located in the Administrators area of the Speedy Publishing Online Reader. Automated Student Information uploads are not visible to employees of Speedy Publishing and are protected by TLS encryption.
Password Protection and Security
ALL User passwords are not visible to administrators or Speedy Publishing employees. All passwords are collected using a TLS-protected login page and passwords are NEVER stored.
If there are stored passwords these are protected using salted hashes and Speedy Publishing user authentication which is protected by both TLS and HTTPS encryptions.
Incidental Anonymous Data Collection Other Information
Speedy Publishing collects anonymous information which does not enable identification of any user. This is a standard operation of the platform. This may include but is not limited to
- Browser type
- Operating system
- IP address
- Referring Website.
- Browsing behavior
- Date and time of access
- Pages visited
- Time spent viewing each page
- Number of times returned to the application
- Pages visited
- Location
- Mobile carrier
- Device
- Application IDs.
Speedy Publishing uses this data to improve user experience on the platform. None of this information at any point will be transferred or sold.
Disposal of Student Information
Speedy Publishing will delete stored Student Information if specifically requested by the School District, parent, supervising adult or guardian or identified managing agency.
Disclosure of Student Information
Speedy Publishing does not disclose information collected from children or administrators for account creation to any third party unless required by law or court order.
